The Thoughtful Gift Guide

If you’re looking for someone to load you up with gift cards around the holidays, I am not your girl. I prefer really thoughtful gifts. My goal when giving a gift is to give something that the recipient loves and never knew they needed. I am compiling a list to help you with some of the trickier people on your list. But be prepared because these tender and thoughtful gifts have been known  to cause people to shed a few tears upon opening.

This is my favorite gift I’ve ever given! Period. I took my Mimi’s sweet potato casserole recipe and had it printed and framed in the most beautiful way. I gave it to my mom and my sisters for Christmas and they loved it. Then for a few other friends, I asked their moms if they had a special family recipe I could use. Turns out, each of them had a dessert they made with a grandmother around the Holidays so having it displayed in such a beautiful way was such a fun surprise for them. This is a very affordable gift for a hard to buy for mother in law, too!
